THE STORY SO FAR…
We are BGRP Holdings, the home of leading brands icon® and Eden Learning Spaces. We’re proud to deliver feel-good furniture across the UK and Europe, from our Northumberland Headquarters (UK) and our European warehouse in Hamburg (DE).
The story started in 2003, with Jayne and a very simple mission: to make people feel good. Driven by a desire to redefine the ‘bean bag’, Jayne started designing innovative and contemporary soft seating options.
Starting from scratch, as the very definition of cottage industry, BGRP was founded in 2005 by Jayne at her very own kitchen table, and has quickly become a leader in the category of soft seating.
With the support and expertise of both Jayne and Mark Dolder for 20+ years, the company has seen tremendous growth.
What started by reshaping the beanbag market has evolved into a broader home offering - spanning best-selling beanbags, modular sofas, cushions and footstools - each designed with comfort, durability and real-life use in mind.
With a focus on customer satisfaction, operational excellence and our expert knowledge of the industry, we’re immensely proud of our humble beginnings.
Now headed by Leanne Cahill, BGRP Holdings continues to grow into 2026.

In 2021, our journey soared to new heights as we secured a substantial private equity investment from Comhar Capital, resulting in a majority share in our business. This partnership has opened the doors to an exciting growth plan, propelling our European expansion into action.
The following year, in September 2022, our European expansion kicked off, with the establishment of a manufacturing and distribution base in Hamburg, Germany. The opening of our Hamburg warehouse strategically positions us to meet the required demand amongst our growing European customer base.
Our new Hamburg operations also enables us to distribute our products on European channels and across the continent more effectively.
December 2022 delivered the fantastic news that we achieved We Invest in People, Gold Accreditation. The coveted accreditation is awarded to people-focused organisations that demonstrate a clear commitment to supporting and developing employees. Following a rigorous external assessment including an anonymous survey completed by 91% of its employees, we now joins the top 4% of gold standard IIP manufacturing organisations.
The company has developed a truly unique business model based on consistently delivering above customer expectations, and a culture of excellence with a passion for making spaces comfier places to be. BGRP Holdings today is an agile business with simple and efficient people-centric processes and, of course, a wonderful team of people who are about what they do.
