National Account Manager (B2B)

Main Purpose of Job:

The role of the National Account Manager will be to lead the growth of the business-to-business (B2B) (Eden) sales channel. This includes the management, development and expansion of key accounts (YPO, TTS, Consortium, WF Education and ESPO).

Working alongside the E-Commerce and Design and Development Teams, the role exists to grow Eden sales and proactively develop an outbound sales function, utilising strong sales management skills and techniques, customer relationship management, and online and offline marketing activity.

Key tasks:

The key responsibility of this role is to develop the Eden Learning Spaces brand through B2B sales channels, including:

  • Using internal and external market research, create the Eden B2B business and sales plan for BGRP Holdings.

  • Accountable for Eden sales through sales skills and direct communication alongside targeted marketing campaigns

  • Develop relationships with key buyers across a variety of public and private sectors

  • Create a solid CRM platform with the ability to manage trade accounts

  • Developing strategic alliances with key industry bodies and develop to strategic partner relationships

  • Create a specific reporting and performance analysis structure for the Eden sales channel

  • Manage, design, attend, and report on success of trade shows to drive sales and build the image and reputation of the Eden brand

  • Work closely with Design and Development to shape product development through industry knowledge

  • Help to manage and co-ordinate online and offline B2B sector research including sector news and trends

  • Work closely with the graphic design team to create images and visuals of the Eden brand

  • Work alongside the Marketing Team to build the reputation of the Eden brand on social media and to develop a rolling calendar of marketing campaigns targeted at the education and learning sector

  • Work with the E-Commerce team to develop a B2B corporate-facing web presence targeted at clearly defined business sectors

  • Assist with PR campaigns targeting trade media

  • Work with the E-Commerce team to develop B2B appropriate marketing materials, to include email marketing, catalogues, leaflets etc., as required

  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to inform the sourcing of materials based on industry knowledge

  • Liaise with the Customer Care team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled

  • Contribute to the creative ideas of the business and take initiative to bring new campaigns, promotions, & ideas to the business

  • Management and maintenance of control files, relating to rebates, remittances, contribution agreements and general terms of key accounts 

  • Manage the Business Accounts Executive including the full scope of line management and L&D activity

Education and Qualifications:

  • Ideally a degree from management, marketing, sales or business-related subjects

  • Good general level of education in core numeracy & literacy subjects

Relevant Experience:

  • Solid experience in an accounts management or sales related role

  • A proven track record of achievement in a commercially oriented role, with demonstrable experience of contributing to the growth of a business

  • Solid experience in customer relationship management and managing trade accounts

  • Ideally has a background within a retail environment (on or offline)

  • Ideally an understanding of online marketing principles - specifically web content management, emails marketing and online copywriting
